I’m holding the book with one hand (to keep the glare off the page), and the pen with the other. So technically I don’t have a free hand (badumPSSH). The drawing paper is just barely taped down to the table. It’s a good exercise – I have to measure the photo by eye and try to get a good likeness without too much noodling, both because the page will wander off and because my book arm gets tired.

I’m enjoying the perspective. And also the suggestion of flames from the top of the house, because while it’s obvious the ‘flames’ are part of the sunset, they help set a mood of foreboding expectation.
