Still working on the plant character design. I liked how the lighting came out in this one, but like the last rejected panel the colors got too bland.

Tough to get these looking on-screen as they do on the paper!

Here’s another ink doodle with paint applied haphazardly, with more improvisation in ink on top of the wash. Scale, perspective … these things are for lesser artistes. Ah, I see my long-handled cigarette holder has set my beret on fire. Back in a bit.

This one turned out a little too monochrome – too many washes of essentially the same colors. It’s supposed to be a dim bar, but not a dull picture. The composition is too symmetrical. And that bowtie, ugh, don’t even get me started.
