I’ve been really into Cliff Sterrett‘s work lately. His strip Polly & Her Pals featured beautiful, stylized art and some surreal gags. Here you can see me trying to figure out some of the magic and maybe apply it to my own characters. As always, it’s harder than it looks – Sterret’s art is a mixture of funny distortion and exacting detail (I love the little water cup(?) on the birdcage.)
