Well, I got caught up in drawing the next Smithson strip, and forgot to update the blog. The next advance in computers has to be some kind of script that automatically pulls some random artwork from your hard drive and posts it, preferably with a synthesized quote from Gary Groth or Robert Hughes saying how great it is.
Here’s a silly painting I made this weekend.

This week was a little less hectic … I had time to do some paintings for a website I’m working on.

It was a tough week, so no new painting for today. Instead, here is a collage piece I put together for my Drawing II students. It was kinda fun …

It’s been a crazy week, with not enough time to do a new painting. So here are some older ones – my second and third tries at the girl and cat painting from March.

By the third try, the colors were better, but the original sketch had been traced too many times – the drawing got a little squishy.

Hope to get some more painting done this week!
